Gibberish #16

First of all, I want to start with something great that happened during the weekend. One year ago, I got two books for review: Aquarius Rising: In the Tears of God (Paperback: US$18.19 + free shipping, Buy The Book Now at The Book Depository, Free Delivery World Wide ) and Blood Tide (Paperback: US$19.19 + free shipping, Buy The Book Now at The Book Depository, Free Delivery World Wide ), both of them written by Brian Burt. This was basically at the start of my “career. Apart from the two great looking books with bookmarks there was a short message included. It said that the third, and the last part of the series will be out in about a year and that the author will check back with me when it is released. And he did. As someone who loved both parts you can imagine how happy I was that the author kept me in his mind. It is an amazing feeling and it is what I have been saying since the beginning of this blog. I do not care about the money or how many likes I will have on my posts. There is no better feeling than to get mutual respect from not only the authors, but also from you, my readers and fellow bloggers. What I want is for you guys and girls to remember what you read and to show support to the authors by buying their books if they appeal to you. We need to help each other out, however we can. Be the light in this dark world.

Now, from something great to something shitty. My scholarship just got recalculated and it got cut down for 60€! That is a huge amount of money. Now, I will receive even less money each month, which means that I can afford even less books now (probably one per two months). I do not even want to think about any holidays for this year (not that I have been on any for the past few years). If I decide to work during the summer tho, they will cut my scholarship completely for the next year. So that means that all the money I would be able to save up (no more than 500€) would have to be enough for the whole next year. And those of you who follow me from the beginning know that I have spent between 400-500€ on mandatory school trips alone. Just an awful feeling to be honest.

Do not worry, there will still be a giveaway when I hit 1000 followers. I have planned ahead for that and I have enough money on the side for it. But, due to all this, I can say for sure that the blog will not go on a paid plan, so it will stay as it is. Which means that you will still get bombarded by the ads from WordPress.

Money is such a necessary evil. I hate it – yet kill myself daily to find a way to make more, because there’s almost no way to live without it. Then they punish you for working – ughhhhhhhhhh! It’s insanity.
But at least we can suffer in solidarity, and overcome in persevering –
Peace ✌️, keep true to your goals! Look forward to following along your journey.

Well said. I do not even want to think about it because it makes me sick.
Thank you! I hope you’ll enjoy my little freedom. 🙂

Understood. You have been very helpful to me in the short time I’ve been here and I appreciate it. I will keep you in my thoughts and in my prayers and hope that your situation turns around. I know it will. You have been an inspiration to me and I’m sure to so many others that nothing but better things will come for you as you have been a blessing to me and others and, therefore, blessings shall begin to come your way. Thank you for everything. 😉

I wouldn’t — we already have “lemon socialism” here in the States; it doesn’t work well for most of us. ^^
